Biography
Manuel Piedra Jr. (b. 1997, New York) is a Harlem-based Boricua and Ecuadorian artist exploring the subconscious as the most honest form of reality. Drawing from lived experience, his work resists depiction — translating memory, desire, and emotion into layered visual language.
Through acrylic, oil, and mixed media, Piedra creates atmospheric compositions where form and feeling blur. Figures emerge like recollections, shifting between clarity and dissolution. His paintings reveal not the world as it appears, but the truth that lives beneath it — the emotional residue of being human.
